Who We Are & ABOUT MASAB

We are part of One Community Organisation which is a registered Charity that works with and supports the Deaf/Blind and those with Special Educational Needs (SEN).

The Masjid is the heart of the community and there should be no discrimination regardless of disability or impairments. Unfortunately the Majority of the Masjids do not facilitate for the Deaf & Send Community. MASAB will be one of the very few if not only Masjid that will not DISCRIMINATE and understands that everyone should have the right to Islamic Education regardless of their condition.
We are currently Building MASAB Masjid & Islamic Centre in JAMAICA.

MASAB MEANING

Masjid As-Samee Al- Basir, Masjid of the All Hearing The All Seeing. As well as being for the general public, this Masjid will specialise in facilitating for the Deaf & (SEND) Special Educational Needs & Disabilities Community. Allah is the All Hearing & The All Seeing, so we ask As-Samee to help us provide for the Deaf and we ask AL- Basir to help us provide for the Blind. Allah is the one who Gives / Provides & Takes Away. In Shaa Allah MASAB will be a islamic point of reference and support for the Muslim SEND.

WHY MASAB

As well as being for the general public, MASAB will specialise in facilitating for the Deaf & (SEND) Special Educational Needs & Disabilities Community. These Communities unfortunately are usually shunned and always have to compromise when it comes to islamic affairs and support. Islam itself encourages supporting SEND and there are many examples from our Prophet PBUH. The neglection is from the lack of and misunderstanding of many Muslims. MASAB is a desperately needed Masjid as there are thousands of Masjids around the UK and Millions around the World, but this will be the first that fully facilitates for the Deaf & SEND Communities.
